Case Study: OhioHealth
Regional healthcare system OhioHealth had a need to introduce and explain new employee benefits and improved online resources to associates at two of its hospitals — located on opposite ends of the state — in order to complete a strategic system-wide integration.
FH worked to understand the unique community heritage of each hospital location, and developed customized communications plans that reinforced the benefits to associates of being a part of the entire OhioHealth family. The plans included associate involvement in community outreach, local media relations, story development with local physicians and hospital leadership, and other tactics to support system-wide programs and goals.
Associates embraced the changes, and both locations benefitted from increases in associate engagement scores and maintenance of their “Best Place to Work” recognition, all while gaining market share. Associate pride in OhioHealth reinforced its commitment to being both a positive pillar and leading healthcare provider in these communities.
