Having run various communications/marketing campaigns, what key steps do you think are necessary for success?
One of the most important parts of a successful campaign is setting realistic expectations. This is critical when communicating with leadership and clients. Clearly defining what you think can realistically be achieved upfront can help avoid uncomfortable conversations when the final results come in.

What's your advice for someone wanting to enter the public relations profession?
Be flexible. Things around you are constantly changing and you have to be able to continually reevaluate your "plan." Whether it's a plan for your career, or a client's marketing and communications plan, having the ability to mentally readjust will make your life and work so much easier.

What's your favorite hidden gem in Grandview and why?
Sweet Carrot (in the old Rife's Market) isn't even remotely hidden, but I'm completely obsessed. Between the fried artichokes, mac 'n cheese and the sugar cookie with lemon cream cheese frosting, their menu is pure bliss.
