Last night was the Central Ohio PRSA PRism awards, the biggest celebration of the year for Columbus PR professionals – a soiree fondly dubbed “PR prom” by some (okay, maybe just me). The public relations role is often behind-the-scenes and behind-the-clients so, for one night each year, it’s fun to dress up, step out on stage and accept awards for the work that we do.

PRism-2016.jpgThis year’s PRisms event was a particularly big night for the FH team, as we submitted 11 entries and received a whopping 9 PRism awards and one award of excellence – more than any other agency in central Ohio. These PRisms mean a lot because they represent results and value generated for our clients. The awards also represent hard work – both on the campaigns and programs themselves, and on gathering, compiling and reporting everything succinctly and persuasively in the award entries.

Because the PRism awards are judged by fellow PR professionals, this recognition also represents peer approval of our work. It means a lot that not only do our clients like and appreciate our creative ideas, hard work and strategic results, but our peers are giving us a big thumbs-up, as well. It feels good and – as you can tell from the photos we shared on our social media channels – we enjoyed the evening immensely.

Does your company participate in annual awards ceremonies, and are you getting all the awards you deserve? If not, we’d love to help. Let us know in the comments below or over on Facebook.
