Colo adds color to our office
Columbus Zoo’s famed Colo — the first and oldest gorilla to be born in captivity anywhere in the world — lent her artistic talents to create four unique art pieces for us.

We’re thrilled to showcase her exclusive paintings throughout the office.
Welcome Kathleen!
Though she might be the office “newbie,” Kathleen is a PR veteran with more than 15 years of media-relations and corporate communications experience. After launching her career in San Diego where she worked in the healthcare and QSR industries, Kathleen recently returned to her hometown of Columbus. She will engage in media-relations and issues-management work on behalf of FrazierHeiby clients as an account supervisor.

Staff Questions: What sparks your light bulb? When/Where do your ideas come to you?
Tom Heiby, CEO: I can honestly say that my best ideas hit me at 3:30 in the morning!!
Doug Frazier, CCO: Most ideas come from hard thinking and research to spur my brain. Otherwise, I wake up almost every night at 3 o’clock with new ideas for client programs. If I don't write them down, I can’t go back to sleep.
Denise Clark, director of client services: While getting ready for work…or during the night in my sleep.
Kathleen Anthony, account supervisor: Inspiration can hit at anytime, but running on the treadmill listening to really loud music never fails to get the brain cells popping.
Andrea Bils, account executive: I have creative thoughts while driving and while in the shower…I keep a notepad in my glove box but it’s more difficult to stash stationery in the bathroom!
Michelle Leitzy, account executive: Right before I fall asleep — I always keep a notebook and pen in my nightstand so I can capture those ideas!
Michael Iles, senior graphic designer: When: All day and night... I feel like I am constantly making mental notes! Where: At work, in the car, in the backyard, when I’m playing with the kids, in bed, at the dinner table, in the shower...Pretty much everywhere.
Wesleigh Mowry, graphic designer: Usually ideas come to me at the last possible moment before a looming deadline. Don’t tell my college professors, but all of my best work was done the night before it was due! My family tells me that I procrastinate but I like to think of it as “creative timing.”

We’ve been helping the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association (OCWGA) increase awareness about the significance of the 2012 Farm Bill, originally drafted as the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008, on behalf of Ohio’s farming community and the state’s economy. OCWGA is voicing its recommendations for the bill’s modifications to safeguard agriculture while decreasing the federal deficit.
