ColumbusRotary Recognizes FrazierHeiby
ColumbusRotary awarded us with a plaque to commemorate our support and commitment to the service organization.
FrazierHeiby has contributed brand and communications counsel to the historic club for nearly 10 years. The firm’s professional contributions to ColumbusRotary include the creation of the club’s logo, membership brochure and displays, fund-development planning, event planning, media-relations counsel, visual design and support for the club’s centennial anniversary and a new communications plan for its ancillary foundation.
“I was surprised and honored to receive this award on behalf of our firm,” said Doug Frazier, FrazierHeiby’s chief creative officer and ColumbusRotary member. “I didn’t expect any special recognition. My fellow Rotarians contribute thousands of hours each year on behalf of important community service programs. We’re just a part of the team.”

Fairfield Medical Center (FMC) Launches New Brand Campaign
We’re emphasizing the two main messages of the Lancaster-based health care facility’s existing tagline (“People You Know. Care You Trust.”), as part of a three-tiered advertising campaign to increase awareness of FMC within its region.
Individuals of FMC’s community will be featured, via photography of patients, staff and its well-known CEO, as well as its expanding service-care lines, via telling real stories of patients’ experiences at the hospital on billboards, newspaper ads and radio broadcasts.
We look forward to enhancing community perceptions about FMC, leveraging its upcoming centennial and achieving a broader brand identity.
AEP Ohio Installs World’s First Lithium-Ion-Based Community Storage System
AEP Ohio is taking the lead in testing a new energy backup system that supplies customers with electricity for a limited time during power outages.
The company has begun the installation of the first Community Energy Storage (CES) system, designed to improve electrical reliability and better serve customers. This lithium-ion-based CES system (visually similar to green transformer boxes) is the first of its kind in the world to be installed at customer homes.
We coordinated a media event to demonstrate the installation in September that was reported by all Columbus TV networks, The Columbus Dispatch and multiple trade publications.
Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP) Unveils Economic Impact Study
Oil and gas industry groups are increasingly optimistic about the economic potential of drilling for oil and gas in shale formations and Ohio promises to be a particularly energy-rich resource.
Growth of Ohio’s oil and gas production could lead to 200,000 new jobs and $14 billion worth of investment in the next four years, according to a study issued by OOGEEP.
We conducted media-relations efforts on behalf of OOGEEP regarding the study, which included a news conference at the Ohio Statehouse in September — a day before Gov. Kasich’s energy and economic summit that supported further exploration of Ohio’s shale formations — attended by JobsOhio, the American Petroleum Institute and the Ohio Petroleum Council.

Staff Question: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Tom Heiby, CEO: Dust! (I hate sharing secrets like this!!!)
Doug Frazier, CCO: People who do not do what they say they will and people who drive slow in the left lane!
Denise Clark, director of client services: Lack of good customer service really causes an increase in my blood pressure
Kathleen Anthony, account supervisor: People who clip their fingernails in public or at least within my earshot…and people who leave drawers and cabinet doors open — Both make me crazy
Andrea Bils, account executive: I get so irritated when people drive slower than the speed limit
Michelle Leitzy, account executive: When someone with a full cart of groceries gets into the 10-items-or-less line
Michael Iles, senior graphic designer: When I’m talking to someone and they are obviously not listening
Wesleigh Mowry, graphic designer: The one thing that drives me absolutely crazy is when someone butters a piece of toast over the butter dish and leaves all the crumbs in it for the next person — So inconsiderate!
Brenda Smith, accounts administrator: Cell phones going off in inappropriate places...or knuckle cracking...Both are right up there in annoyance and being disruptive...
